Hi Guys
I have a 2006 MK5 GTi, which i've had for 4 years and has circa 93k on the clock. Its been pretty much spot on since I bought it but yesterday I drove it about 15 miles from home to the Metro Centre and, whilst going up into one of the multi storey car parks I heard a loud squeak coming from either the wheel hubs or brakes externally. It was squeaking constantly as I drove up the ramps and also when driving along the flat. When I got back in the car later, it wasnt squeaking to start with, but then intermittently squeaked on the way home.
The first thing that springs to mind is a wheel bearing needing replacing (I replaced the OSR about a year ago and i think all others are original). As the squeak seems to be intermittent at this stage, I'm not sure I will achieve much by jacking up and spinning the wheels.
Can anyone offer any quidance to diagnose / locate the problem please?
Thanks
Mike

I think it can occasionally be a sticking rear brake caliper (have seen this happen before on Mk5 GTI's); long shot but might be worth checking
