hey all,
as some of you may know i m gonna try and replicate the ths fmic, and what would be a great help is if anyone has any of the pipework and could measure it and put the dimensions on here, or trace round the pipes onto paper and post it to me!!
-
I have all my pipes sat in the garage.
-
Would you have some spare mins to help me out?? :embarassed:
-
I dunno how best to do it tbh!
-
Lol one way I have thought of is drawing lines on a sheet of paper at one inch intervals horizontally and vertically and take pictures of the pipes on it???
LOOOOOOOOONG!!!!!
-
Pull finger out.
Buy it off Chris.
Done
-
I want to see this done as Im going to copy
-
IN which case, I shall be selling my designs. People seem interested ahahaha :P

Cough cough don't forget who started the thread I think 50/50 will be sufficient lol
-
Only if it works
-
Could always be cheeky and ask THS
-
Surely it would just be easier to buy a pipe kit and do it yourself. I was going to replicate the THS kit, but it seemed like a long route. So I went straight over the gearbox and dropped down to the IC. All I did was bought a pipe kit of toyosports and a beading tool and cracked on with it.
-
where did you get the beading tool from??
also i thought this but i got my catch can there, unless i relocate but there is still the extra heat from the engine that will make the pipe hotter running it over :undecided:
-
Here was my prototype design, TBH heat rises, so not much is transferred as I ran the pipes to the side and not over the engine. But I wasn't happy with it, so I instead did use exhaust heat rap, which is not to expensive for giant reel with some jubilees.

Here's the beading tool, not cheap about £90 off ebay, yet since I've moved I cannot find it, extremely pissed about it, you put it in a vice and slowly turn the tube to press it out.

Here's what engine bay looked after:

I have my catch can just floating to the side of the battery undertray. Also rejiggled the two horns around passengers side to make make some room for a 2.5" cold air intake.
-
looks tidy that does
-
just see this for a beading tool
