Title: engine mount question

mk2 16v k jet

there are 2 bolts tha hold the starter on right.
is there another bolt that sits next to the lower on that goes throu the engine mount bit?
cos i think mine is missing

if so what size is it an ill find one

There are 3 bolts, 2 go through the starter motor.
They ALL bolt on to a bracket that is attached to the front engine mount.
So if you want to remove the starter motor, you will need to support the engine.
This gay design was modified for the mk3 golf  :laugh:

I think that right as I changed my starter motor a few years ago and am pretty sure that there were 2 long bolts and a short one.
