It depends, If bare plastic, you MUST use a Adhesion promotor/primer, then paint as usual

If the bumper is already painted, and you simply want to change its colour, then you can simply rub the entire bumper with a grey Scotchbrite pad, minor scratches can spot primed with an aerosol

just touched up my bumper today as the guy before me obviously didnt realise the car has corners! (big scratches on both sides of bumper) however when masking, i didnt mask very well on the black trim so now have a grey/black splitter! just come across this -

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUTOTEK-BUMPER-TRIM-PAINT-BLACK-500-ML-AEROSOL-SPRAY-AT00BTB500-/260975138625?pt=UK_Body_Shop_Supplies_Paint&hash=item3cc3549741#ht_549wt_905

has anyone used it and if so is it any good? dont really wana go through the sanding, primer, paint, lacquer jobby again! lol
