Title: Revo stage 1
Post by: Sug on 16 June 2012, 22:28
I had the Revo free trial put on my edition30 today and was very impressed to say the least got a good couple of hours driving even though the roads were soaking just hope it's dry tomorrow. Will be taking the car back soon for the real map and was just wondering is there any parts I should consider getting once in stage1. I know stage one is designed to run on standard parts but would just like to check with people who run the software if any parts were not up to the job?

Forge 007p Dv & pannal filter

That's the 2 mains/must. Other then that, that's it mate. Just to let u kno.. Revo Remaps "locks" you in to the maps. Soo everytime u needa go back u needa use the Revo software. That put me of it and got a standerd map. But if it's proper power u want  then go for tht.

007p is for the mk4 gtis so wont fit

The latest revision dv from the dealers will be fine.

Id also try some other tuners maps.  I found the Revo software was great low down, but offered little in perfomance at the top end to a standard car

It's funny you should say that because I felt from 3000-5k revs was awesome but from 5 onwards seemed to fade away?

APR has a free trial also. Give them a try. Revos map is just APRs that they stole.
