Would there be any clearance issues with a 8j alloy wheels on a mk2 golf with 175/50/15 tyres ???? :laugh:

Yeah I really fancy a set - but by the time you add new tyres they get pricey....
Would also like to see how they look after 5 years of use!!

i ran 195 50 15's on 7x15 wheels with an et of 13 and had to roll the arches and cut the trims to stop them rubbing even with a fairly conservative (by dub standards) drop, with 8s and near enough the same offset i'd expect all manner of trouble even with stretched rubber- and thats a ridiculous stretch by the way, it will upset one of the all time greats of hot hatch handling and look gayer than showertime in a prison. don't do it!

You can have them all painted/powder coated. The diamond cut rim is an optional extra.

I know... Would still like to see how they last over that sort of time scale!!
