Title: Monza 2 E.T??
Post by: KennyGTI on 16 June 2012, 17:53
Just browsing the net today as there is nought much else to be doing in the lively summer weather we are having and came across Mk6 Golfs with 18" BBS CK which looked just nice one a lowered car. The ET on the CKs is 44 with 8 wide. Am sure the Monza is ET is 51 with 7.5 wide????

Basically am not too clued up of offsets etc and I know some on here are, all I want to know is, would the CKs have the same poke as the monzas???

Nope the Ck's will stick out more basically, not by much but do sit out further.

And yes you're right about the width's and ET's.

According to my calcs, the CK's will have 13.09mm more poke than the Monza's.

The ET is the distance between the center line of the wheel and the hub mounting face. If you divide the rim width by 2, then take away the offset, that will give you the distance from the hub face to the outer edge of the rim.

CKs sit pretty flush with the front arches and fill the rears properly. I've got 235 tyres on mine and reckon they might foul the arch a bit over speed humps on a lowered car.

How do you find the ride quality with the set up you have???

Mines on 19s and ride quality isn't much worse than standard. The tyres are a bit noisy on some roads at certain speeds but probably no worse than standard tyres.
