Post by: squirrelGTi on 15 June 2012, 15:49
Hi guys,

Anyone seen this issue before? The only way i can describe it is it's like screen corruption.

Camera was fitted direct from the factory. It's done it about 4-5 times since new.

I have an issue with the lines not being in the right place ie slightly over to the right but nothing like that! Get it to the dealer before your warranty expires!

Have you tried re-booting the RCD510?
How do you do that then? Might be worth me trying it to see if it lines me up?

I suppose you'd press the note button instead of the star button on the RCD then?

Looks like the signal cable is damaged. It's a coax cable that supplies the vid, and if the grounding fails then it can put the signal out of sync. Remove the HU and check the connection at the back, make sure the outer shield foil isnt touching anything, and to the same at the camera end...

Or give it back to VW if its under warranty.

Thanks for your replies guys.

I've got a service booked on the 29th June so i'll get them to take a look. I don't wanna bork anything.

As i say, it doesn't happen much.
