Title: 90 spec bottom sill trim on 88 car.
Post by: beechymonza on 14 June 2012, 20:13
As of above i have just purchased some 90 spec arches and trim an bottom plasti sill cover,
How does this sill cover attach to the car, Is it just screwed on or is there some clips that are on the big bumper cars that are not on mine,

I should be clipped on, but, I would be inclined to bond it on with windscreen bonding adhesive... permanent, and wont cause rust

There is a rail that attaches to the car (Now Obsolete) & 5 clips on each side that attach to the rail and then the covers plug onto the clips (assuming the mounts aren't busted) and then 2 screws at the end that join the arches underneath. Some peeps put 2 pop rivets behind the jacking point covers.

I have seen ones where people have just used the clips straight on the body work...
