Just got my renewal form for my 2001 Golf GTTDI, expecting it to be the sh!tty price of £215 (as it was registered 2months before they adopted the new taxation scheme ) n the cheeky feckers have only gone and put it up to £220!!
I know it's a fiver, but it's not like they are gonna use all the extra fivers to actually fix the roads! :lipsrsealed:
Rant over!

I know ita a joke....they will always bump it up, but only at suitable smallish increments in the hope we won't really notice or kick up a fuss. Same with most things which are part of the cost of living. The roads round my area are horrendous even the motorways and don't see much repairing going on either.

I get it twice, My residential parking permit is the same as the tax

Everything has gone up. Even the tools they use to fix the road. Diesel has gone up and they put that in their genitators. So you get the same amount of work but a little more.

Tax is

of course.. if you want you could move to India... I think road tax is cheaper there..

My permit was free when we first moved into islington, over £200 a year now,
They base it on emissions. My old car fell into the £450 bracket hence why I no longer own it.
They even rent the garages out based on engine size. Its a bloody joke.
