Chap on here got banned via You Tube for posting a video of him racing his ED30 against an RS4

You have been warned

Take it to the track or Germany if you want to max out your car

I would stick to a couple of rules here :

1 - Do not tell anyone of your law breaking (fail)
2 - Do not film your law breaking (?)

I once tried this in a hire car.
I got a summons to court.
New shirt, 6 points, £200 fine, £50 court costs.
Helluva lot more for insurance.
And this was a sh!tty car, so my advice, do it with fake plates so you don't get caught  :lipsrsealed:

How will fake plates help when the video is from inside their car? Plates aren't the only giveaway, and that's a big offence in itself

If you have then why wud you even contemplate the idea, us GTD drivers drive for the fuel economy first and foremost lol...and of course every now and then we have a bit of fun...

Don't risk your license mate...

In my situation which I was referring to, yes the plates were the giveaway and were how I got my points. However, it was a joke, as you say it's a big offence in itself.

That said, fake plates would have definitely got me off the hook

*hides from the Internet police*

If you're posting a video to demonstrate an attained top speed, chances are you're going to prove said speed by filming the speedometer (or other speed indicating equipment). Whilst this makes your claim to fame on the forums irrefutable (if that is anything online can be considered irrefutable), it also makes it easy for PC Plod to verify your speed and thereby catch you.

Why not ask Dunsfold if you can do a top speed run...It says they dont cater for private indviduals but might be worth a speculative application but could cost a bit. Then again what are the costs of losing your licence or worse stacking your car on a public road...

Fair enough dude, but as your only 20 just think of the MASSIVE insurance premiums if you lose your license, getting lifts from others is a real pain and losing your independence is horrible....I had to get lifts while'st waiting for the GTD to arrive....IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!!!
