Title: Reasonably priced brake recommendations?
Post by: Michael on 12 June 2012, 14:39
Afternoon - I'll need new discs and pads (front) for the Golf's MOT and wondered if anyone had any where to recommend?

Happy to buy them online if if means they're cheaper?

Have tried CAF already and they're not bad, cheaper than my garage can supply but I'm looking to save as much as I can!

Also after a N/S wheel bearing? It's a MK2 16v H reg 1991

Thanks Everyone

Michael

Have a look at VWS or AVS car parts. I found VWS cheaper than ECP for the rear discs, pads and bearings I need even after forum discount but they may well be different quality parts.

I picked up my 280mm ATE discs from Euro they were brillant had them order them from germany and around 30 per corner! Much cheaper than anywhere else! Pads used Pagid like Elvi has said very good indeed!
ATE and Pagid are OEM suppliers to VAG
