Serious lack of urgency throughout and that stupid Italian flippin' ref cost us that game.
-
I believe!!! I believe that the sooner England lose the better! I would like England to be first out in any competition they are ever going to be in and that they give away 10 goals in the first 10 minutes of every match they ever play.

england are useless at everything

I f**kIKNG LOVE THE EUROS! THERE IS FOOTBALL ON TWICE A DAY, EVERYDAY!
AMAZING!!!!!!!""!£$$£"21
Im serious though, its awesome. Thought we didn't play all that bad (I was expecting a lot worse) and am happy with a draw against the Frogs. Ukraine and Sweden didn't look anything special either so Im confident of progression from the group. If we top the group we can easily give Italy a run for their money, not sure about coming second and beating Spain though.
Im currently working in Leeds so went to a local boozer up here last night to watch the games. Was an interesting experience.

Love my footy but just can't get into the Euro's at the moment. Maybe its because England have been so disapointing for god knows how long. These Euro's seem to have something missing at the moment.

Amazing how the media's own excessive hyping of England in major championships has completely backfired to the point that nobody really gives a toss about the national team anymore (not that the fact they are all a bunch of overpaid sissies helps). I think the thing that is missing is inocence, taken from us by the media...... and reinforced by a lack of hype by the media as they try to re-build their ratings by laying low for a while. Smacks of the backlash against christmas songs in September to me......
Personally I didnt think they played well but neither do I think that the frogs did. Interesting to see so many young uns in the squad (no idea who they are as i havent watched football for 2 years....) but a shame to see no genuine young stars like an Owen or Rooney (even if he is now a dirty manc with a combover on his head, made me sing just that to the tune of "he's got a piiiiineapple, on his head!").

I suppose I'm lucky as I have 2 teams to follow.... and they both meet next tuesday!!
and it makes me miss the Ukraine....although I have the offer of a free room (for the final) If I want to go!!

well from the games ive watched england have a snowballs chance in hell  and that is nothing to do with the manager.
alot of optimists think we have talent in our players and they are right, however all that talent means nothing if you cannot think, and sadly that is very apparent.
if you watch them, they pass around the defence and midfield with little or no idea how to work the ball forward on the ground around the opposition. so they eventually run out of ideas or options due to lack of movement off the ball and therefore resort to type and default mode, which is hoof it down the channels and run on to it aka kick and rush.
if you watch scott parker he does some fantastic work winning the ball, yet when he has the ball with space in front of him he does not carry the ball forward into that space and draw in opposition players, he stops turns and and usually plays sideways or backwards and that allows opposition to reset and defend easily.
he is not the only one that does that.
i really cant see why people cannot understand that our players individual technical and thinking abilities are about 30years behind and have been overtaken by so called lesser footballing nations like the czechs or croatia, let alone the players of spain , germany etc.
we as a footballing nation really need to start over at grassroots level like school football and aim for a tournament in 10-15yrs time.
that will never happen with the money in the premiership at present.
sorry to put a dampener on the optimists but ive watched and played for 40yrs and individual skill and the ability to make time and look up to make a pass are paramount to controlling a game of football

I watched the game with the (French) outlaws in the Ardeche
Was pissed they got one back but hey we were proper rubbish at times and could have got a spanking...
Still it worked out well as I need to keep my Beau Pere happy for more free holidays
