Title: New member to the forum, mk5 gti owner

Hi ive just signed upto this forum today as it caters purely on gti's. I own a mk5 gti in black with a very good factory spec and in the two years I've owned it I have gone down two different routes,

Yeah they were pretty special thanks. Not too heavy for 3 piece splits either.

How do you leave the 'scene' when you look/ed like that! Real smart look mate :cool: 3 piece splits...They rotiforms? Arm and a leg springs to mind  :lipsrsealed:

Hi, thanks for the welcome. I left the scene basically because it was full of b!tches and there wasn't any appreciation for peoples own work. I built the car from scratch, installed the air, chassis notch, recaro cs seats the lot but because it didn't have work done by the big names such as plush etc it wasn't recognised in competions.
......and them rotiforms were a few ££££ too but power never goes out of fashion and they seem a better crowd.

Hi thanks for the welcome. In its scene state it was a stock gti with a stage 1 map, 19 x 9 rotiform blq's, airlift 4 way air ride, recaro cs seats in black leather, r32 rear.

Power spec
Engine

Ko4 turbo, ed30 injectors, rs4 fuel pressure regulator, s3 cams, s3 boost sensor,s3 fuel filter, itg maxogen intake, blue flame 3" turbo back, turbo smart blow off valve, forge twintercooler

Chassis

Weitec coilovers, lower dog bone insert, polybushed arb's 18 x 8 oz ultraggra hlt forged wheels

Transmission

Forge quickshift, forge side shift, quaife LSD, helix single mass flywheel and fast road clutch

That's the basics of it.

Loving looking motor mate. Thinking of a mk5 Gti myself in the not to distance future  :cool:

Thanks, it's the first gti I've owned tbh so can't really compaire but everyone says how well built they are and the quality of the chassis. I love mine

I wouldn't mind but realistically I don't think my car will be built and running for that weekend. :-(.
My deadline was bug jam which is do-able.

hi, the grey mk4 is my friend adam and his brother has a black mk5 gt tdi. take it your from woodville ?
