Title: thinking of getting rid of my golf
Post by: rolty_gti on 08 June 2012, 11:25
hi guys,

been toying with the idea of selling my mk4 today as i need a work van due to starting a business and cant afford to run both!
haven't done anything on my golf for a while now.
its nearly ticking over 130k now so i'm thinking of selling it and getting a van for work purposes and keeping my eye out on a bog standard mk4 gti with decent mileage to start modding from the ground up?
what do you guys think?

or am i just being silly lol

Why are you selling your Mk4 to then buy another Mk4? Or is this after you've bought the van and saved up again?

u got it mate, wanna sell my mk4 to fund a little van for work.and then once ive saved up enough cash i will start looking for a tidy unmod'd low mileage mk4 gti again that i can mod to the fullest as it will be locked away in my garage and used as a weekender!

just been offered an older shape vw caddy van for 450 lol. needs a new engine mount on 1 side as it knocks wile driving, needs general tlc but its a 1.9 diesel, perfect for work mileage.

hmmm thinking a little project/work horse could be on the cards!

i see that picture on google, looks nice! had a look at the caddy i was offered yesterday, not in to bad a shape! drives like a train considering its age and a small knocking noise.
its dark green though  but with a few things needing doing and rubbing down the colour could soon be changed lol.
