hi every1 need some help with wiring on my golf, picked up a mk4 1.6 8v golf really cheap so thought it would be worth converting it, got full conversion apart from the dash/ interior loom, been trying to find one everywere but just cant get hold of one, now my question is is there anyway i can splice the engine loom into my current dash loom? and if so what do i need to do to the throttle pedal as iv got the fbw one off the aum golf but obv theres no plug for it on my current loom? any help would be great thanks

There is always a way but to be honest its easier if you just take out the loom and replace it.
Trust me, I looked at doing it before and its an absolute pig

i no mate i do want to replace it but trying to find one is proving to be difficult lol

I have a loom.. But one of the abs plugs is missing

Could you not convert to cable :undecided:
-
I wouldnt want to convert to cable.
You either drill hole and weld the brackets in for the cable assemby on the panel, or you take the black panel out and swap with a cable setup. I got my panel out and even with a oxy torch to warm the silicone, it was a nightmare,

dont want to convert to cable as want to fit cruise control ect in the future, need the full loom really because the new engine loom going into the cab has 5 plugs were my old one only had 3 and dont want to start cutting and soldering wires want it to be as factory as possible

Is it a cabrio then ? if so it is based on a mk3 and not a mk4 so will need more changes.
