Title: MK4: Fixed door lock and now alarm keeps going off!

Hi guys,

Before tonight my car had the follwoing problems:

Key fob did not unlock/unlock doors
Headlight buzzer did not work
Interior lights did not come on when opening drivers door

These problems fitted perfectly with the symptoms of a faulty door lock module. I fixed the module tonight following this guide:

Partial success in that the car now recognises the drivers door and fixed the above symptoms.

HOWEVER, when I locked the drivers door and went to unlock it again the alarm went off. Went off again when I switched on ignition.

Can someone tell me how to deactivate the alarm using the key please????

Should de-activate when you unlock.

Might be a problem with the door module which is inside the window regulator, or the lock switch movements still aren't being registered.
