Had some Conti 5s fitted last week, made me realise how bad the Bridgestones were .
Traction, grip, feel, comfort, noise all way better. I know I'm comparing new with 20k tyres but what a massive difference.
The really amazing thing is mpg is up by around 10% since they were changed.
Same trip I've done every day for the last 2 years. I never knew tyres could make such a difference.

Conti's are great, thinking about fitting some to my winter setup!
-
I can confirm the Winters are also brilliant.
No mpg difference though.
-
Changed from Vreds ultrac sessanta to conti sport 3 & same as you what a difference,no contest.
-
Are the Conti 3s better for mpg or is this just a Conti 5 thing?
I've never noticed much difference before with new tyres and mpg.
This took me by surprise.

Price please?

Hiya Gizzy, how you doing??
I paid £510 for the set.
You will need 5Ps for your massive 18"ers.
I only have the faster, cheaper, more comfortable 17"s.
They look good too, even with tiny ones.

Continental make some awesome tyres

^^
I had one of those parking compliments the other day (your sig), they even posted photos on the web.
Ba5tards.

The conti sport 5 is a great tyre, good choice. Just keep an eye on the outside edge, but there not as bad as the 3s for that.
Bridgestones are out right dangerous. I used goodyears on my gti and put the original bridgestones back on to sell it. It was that bad I actually filmed the car wheel spinning at 50mph and understating, especially in the wet. So compared to the goodyears like I said they are dangerous.

Hahaha I've had a few moments at 50-60, adds to the fun, but I agree bridgestones are shocking

Hi I'm ok thanks, you? That sounds like a good price I think I shall invest in some for my 18". Bridges have not done 15000 miles yet tho and are 3 next month. Thanks for the info
