Title: FAO:anyone who is thinking the us rub strip looks good
Post by: mcgee9t2 on 05 June 2012, 15:46
BUY THE FEKING BUMPER TOO

knew there was stuff that had to be done i.e. cuting up and plastic welding the rub strip and making holes for some of the tabs. but bloody hell i wish ide just either given it to someone who is a plastic welder by trade or just bought the us bumper too. alot more of an arse on than i imagined.

but hey ho 90% of the way there now, little skim over with filler to get it compleatly smothed then paint :)

little pic

blood sweat and tears that went into it!

there was alot of that, first i burnt my finger on a screw when i had to drill out three screws on the bumper cause they were that seised and rusted.
then i cut into my hand with a saw when cutting the rub strip down.
then when cutting up some plastic to weld with i droped the electric (lazy i know) saw onto my hand and cut it again.
then i picked up the plastic welding iron (also known as a soldering iron :D ) by the wrong end.

i hate diy
