I have a k03 and was bored so was checking my car over, and I can move my actuator with my hand but with my k03s on my shelf that don't move so easy with my hand is that right? Or has it been worn out inside
-
Probably weak like you say.
-
Welcome to the Forge club
-
Weak actuator isnt necessarily a problem, it stil opens and closes as it would if was new . However, when you run high boost levels with a stg2 the extra force put on the wastegate from the high exhaust gasses pushes the wastegate open as the weak actuator can't keep it closed. This results in boost tapering off artificially quickly at higher rpm. Fitting a forge or uprated actuator keeps it closed and more power can be made by the turbo.

Will it be ok for a month? I'm gonna be getting my k03s rebuilt also I have pmd you about a rebuild lo
-
Be fine. Just stick a forge one with yellow spring on your k03s
-
Good :) that will be why my boost is funny
-
Need my k03s rebuilt with forge actuator :)
-
Could I put the k03s on my k03 ?
-
Sometimes, depends if brackets are the same
-
If they are is it easy?
-
With the turbo off it is. Harder on the car as manifold needs to come off and the oil feel banjo. Just leave that bolt out after ;)
-
Why leave it out lol
-
Makes changing things in future easier :) no need to remove manifold or banjo.
-
You ain't got a ruff guide to changing one on a car have you lol
-
I have a YouTube video on how to set it up right
-
That would hellp
