Will an 8v system fit a Mk2 16v (E-Reg '88 Model) Gti?
Straight on?
With small modification?
or
"dont be silly whiteee do you know nothing about the differences between 8v and 16v exhaust systems?!"

The bore sizes are different so you'll need to get an an adaptor made up, any decent exhaust place should be able to sort it.  Saying that though I THINK the std 8v downpipe will bolt up to the 16v manifold, but don't quote me on that.

Either way you might end up loosing out on power using the smaller 8v exhaust, unless its a decent aftermarket jobbie.

 Bore sizes on the exhaust are different. You will need a tapered pipe to fit it, but why would you want to put an 8v zorst on a 16v anyhow?

The boresize might end up choking the engine as it will not flow as well. Will probably end up losing power from it aswell.
