Title: Brake pads with wear sensor on car without connection?
Post by: Jin_C on 04 June 2012, 09:19: I'm looking on ECP and the pads with wear sensors are cheaper than the exact same size pads without sensors. My car doesnt have a connection for the sensors.

Would it be OK to install pads with the sensors and just tie the connectors out of the way?

Then you get a warning on your dash...it has been driving me crazy! Also would it fail a MOT cause of this?

How will he get a light on his dash? His car has never had sensors fitted :undecided:

you sure the light is for the same thing we are on about i always cut them wires off mine and had no probs

Post by: Jin_C on 05 June 2012, 10:11: Just in case anyone else needs to know I've been told the sensors only push into the pads so its better to just pull them out instead of cutting the wires.
