Title: Ebay performance chips?
Post by: oakdub on 11 June 2005, 17:12: What do you guys think about some of the performance chips offered on ebay? Are they any good?

is one example i found but not sure how good they'll be in my 91 mk2 8v ?

Post by: Organisys on 11 June 2005, 17:21: If i have this correct, all they do i is over fuel the engine slightly, since the ecu only controls the fuel injection and nowt else.

I suppose you would get a richer mixture, and maybe some unburnt fuel which could mean a pop pop blat exhaust when you lift your foot off full throttle.

Anyone else have any more info?

Post by: Rain on 11 June 2005, 19:55: there suppose to remove the lag between you putting your foot down on the throttle and the system being fed the fuel not the amount its being given.
