Title: Help! Is this the wrong bumper??
Post by: GemGTI on 11 June 2005, 16:15: Hi does anyone know if this is the wrong bumper for my Mk1 gti? I just noticed the other day that it was rubbing against the bodywork and a bit of rust has appeared. If this is the wrong bumper does anyone know how I could get my hands on the correct one? I've tried salvage companies and had no luck so far. Cheers.

Not completely sure if its the same, but heres mine to compare it too, sorry about the size!

you can pick up a new bumper from eurocarparts for about Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£30.

Post by: mr.brown on 12 June 2005, 17:46: Mmmm... last time I took a bumper off a mk2 the mounts were horizontal - mk1 bumper mounts are vertical. I would imagine it's from a later mk1 cabby or caddy even.
