hello well ive been running some sort of random dump valve on my 1.8t and i thought it wouldnt make much diffrence to a recirc valve well got hold of a APR recirc valve today for cheaps :) and running it at the cold side so its just before the inlet. so i took it out for a spin and noticed straight away from first to second it was seemless before it hesitated for a second or two, anyone heard of apr recirc valves? this one seems very good!

Im running one of these been on for over 2 year with no probs or leaks
-
why not spend the same and have a piston version rather than a diaphragm?
-
mine looks like that one! seems real good and alot cheaper than a forge one.. im sure people will say forge is better but im very impressed with this one. see how it goes!

diaphragms end up splitting. A piece of my old Forge diaphragm went through the turbo
-
in the advert it says pistons get stuck. :lipsrsealed:
-
is there anyway to maintain them? to help them last abit longer?, so basicaly are the apr ones the same as the forge just without the hype and name? and price

Dont think there is as its only a diafram and as far as I can remember its a sealed unit,

The idea of the APR R1 is that it doesn't need servising and is slightly more responsive. The first batch had issues though but apparently that has now been sorted. I think the idea is better than a piston valve and if it works for you, brilliant.
APR are a rather well known tuning company with an excellent reputation for their hardware.

Anything will be better than the sh!tty blow off valve he had on before
-
I'll give you that, the Forge DV does need looking after

defo mate!!! haha, i can hear a chattering noise now which is due to airbox been drilled which couldnt hear before sounds good! :) haha, it seems good so far. and since running it i think the old dump valve must have been leaking boost or somthing as the boost gauge would move around all over place while climbing upto 5k now it seems alot better.
