Title: rear washer - no water getting to jet
Post by: steve.gti on 01 June 2012, 21:09
I have a 1999 mk4 golf, i have no water coming out of the rear water jet, I have disconnected the hose to the jet and no water, I have checked the water pump is working, thats all ok. so i must have a blockage somewhere in the water hose between the pump and rear jet, Anyone know if there is a common place where these get blocked.

Are you getting any wet patches in the roof lining around above the rear seats

Prob a split pipe, check in the top left corner of the boot, in the hinge, the black rubbery bit, mine was split to buggery, got some thin silicone hose to replace it.

take the panel off that hides the washer motor and see if there is any evidence of water leaking on the sound deadening. You'll also be able to see what's going on if you watch while someone else operates the washer
