New A3 3-door price and specification

Pricing and specification information for the new Audi A3 three-door is now available.
The new A3 offers a much higher level of standard specification than the outgoing model. The range has also been rationalised, with the total number of model lines and engines reduced.
When all engines  in the range have been launched, the total number of A3 three-door derivatives will be reduced from the 76 current to just 42.
The new A3 range will start from SE trim level, with linear upgrades to Sport and to S line:

 

      

 


 

 

Improved standard equipment
Although the number of model trim lines has been reduced, the levels of equipment in each trim line have been increased significantly compared to the equivalent trims on the outgoing A3:

The new A3 offers customers suspension options that were not available on the outgoing model. Details are below. The suspension fitted as standard is shown in red:

Option pricing
Option pricing will be available in the price and specification guide, which will be available soon.
1.6TDI
Start of production for the 1.6TDI is later than the rest of the range, and will begin in September. Final technical data has therefore not yet been released by the factory but is due to be confirmed soon. We will open this engine for ordering as soon as technical data is confirmed.
Further engines and transmissions will be available for the new A3 and these will be announced over the coming months.
International press launch
Audi AG will be taking key UK journalists to test left-hand drive new A3s on 15 and 16 May. Following the press launch event we will see first drive reports and media coverage in print and online so please be prepared to receive a spike of enquiries from prospective customers.

I take it your fancying and Audi then Mr F?

I do like the A3's but I'm not such a lover of them in a five door.

A shame the 2.0TDI only seems to come manual at the moment. I wonder what that engine will map to?
