Ive seen this mk2 in the "Mk2 Pictures" section
(http://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/o610/bigdirtyturbo/IMG_0135.jpg)
And it made me want to add the larger pre 90 side strips to my 90 car..
I purchaced the strips but didn't realise the arches were different as the above car has the 90 spec skirts.
Is there any way around this? How have they done it? do i need to butcher a set of pre 90 arches and remove the small pieces of trim attached to them. (front and rear) currently ive a small strip of vinyl where they should be.
Here's my car as it stands, im unsure if i should remove the colour coded arches and go back to black, keep the black side trim or code the side trim to match.

any advice welcome please

I think you can get GL spec Spats that fit part way up the wings.

Ignore that - I've just seen that you have colour coded the arches & sill covers...
You would need to get a set of driver or small bumper front arches and chop them up to get the wing parts you are looking for...

Thanks again people, just secured a set of driver arches on ebay for a tenner.. I collect them tomorrow..
Would anybody have any idea if these chunky trims look good colour coded or do they look better black? i cant find pics of the pre 90 ones that have been colour coded.

Personally I think it looks good as it is. The rubstrips break up the sea of silver. Color coded rubstrips to me would be too much silver.
