Title: Off set?
Post by: johnomk4 on 30 May 2012, 17:45
Will et35 stick out more than et33 or is it the other way around?

As I have et33's on my car now and they rub every so often, so wanted to know if et35's will sit further in?

What tyres have you got on your alloys now?
For example if you have 225/40's then drop to 215/40 or even 215/35.

This will reduce scrubbing and cheaper than buying new wheels

Yea I'm running 225/40 at the mo, but had these other wheels at a price I could not refuse, and they look alot better than what I have on at the mo.
So I take it they will stick out more then?

The less ET the more it sticks out. So 33 will stick out more than 35. I don't know exactly how many mm's '1 ET' is so don't ask

Lower the number = MORE POKE

Good good that means I can keep my rubber and have no rubbing issues now.

Do I take it then that if I wanted to put spacers on then I will have to put stretched tyres on??

Depends on how wide you are going with the spacers.
