Title: Annoying stalling
Post by: solarized on 10 June 2005, 16:08
Hi all,
Got an annoying stalling problem wondering if anyones got any suggestions. My 8v 88 gti stalls on pulling up to a junction only when its semi-warm - never when cold, never when hot. Had an idle problem a while ago, did timing according to bently manual - removing blue temp sensor etc - followed  it to the letter. Stripped down breather hoses, ISV, cleaned everything in carb cleaner, although it was all fairly clean anyway - no oil gunk or deposits. Replaced crank case breather valve and connecting hose (which I found split where it connects to valve cover). Cleaned throttle body etc. Car ran fantastic after this, and still does, apart from this trivial, but non the less annoying stalling that's just developed. Suggestions anyone?
Cheers,
Paul.
