Title: Golf Mk4 interior auto dimmer mirror

Hi all, Ive got a mk4 Golf and Im very sure it should have auto dim on the mirror, I can see the sensor at the front of the mirror, only problem is it dont work! anyone good at fault finding and what it could be? regards lew

didnt know mk4s could have auto dimm. thought it was only a3's?

my mates v5 had one  :cool: I think they are a b!tch to fit if your car never had one originally which may be what happened to the ops. ie not wired in. It would have to be pulled apart to check.

I have one in my Bora fitted as standard too  :cool:
Check the wiring although getting everything down is a pain.

It is possible to convert but you need the front windscreen with the auto wipers rain sensor apparently. It's on my list to get done

Just had my windscreen replaced, they asked if i had auto windows and i said no.. Perhaps i should have said yes  :laugh:

I have an Auto-dimming mirror with loom for sale in the classifieds, black too!  :wink:

I tried this as I wanted Daves, Mr Autoglass said no  :sad:
