Evening all

Placed an order last week for a GTD so thought I would sign up and join the community! seems to be lots of good reading on here so hopefully the estimated 16 weeks delivery time doesn't drag too much!

I have gone for the 5dr DSG in Carbon Grey, 18" Charleston Shadow wheels, RCD510 with Dynaudio, Cruise Control and luxury pack.

I've been told there will be an added wait due to the gearbox selection, anyone got any info regarding this?

Im a VW novice, previous cars have been A3's and A4's so quite excited to take delivery of my very 1st Golf!

Yes there is a very short supply of dsg boxes at the moment and know one really says why, but from my own experience which was a 4mnths and a bit wait....it was well worth it!

So your 16wks wait time is about right...sounds like you've got a nice spec and the right number of doors :laugh:

You might wonna think about getting yourself some of these for your new ride! GTD footrest & GTD seat inserts...there available via a member on here called Gulfstream11, and if I remember correctly the footrest is £10 and the seat inserts(pair) are 15....so a bargain really!!

Note tho that your need to have made 10 posts before being able to pm others :wink:

It's a company car, ordered through lex, I'm hoping they get some kind of benefit and get knocked up the build queue so the wait is a bit shorter, I'm like a kid waiting for Santa!! Doubt I though :(

I cant mod too much as its leased but them little inserts are pretty subtle and look the part, ill be ordering myself a set of them, cheers!

Yeah for £25 + the £1.50 postage you can't really go wrong! :wink:
