what are peoples thoughts on it?
-
I wouldnt personally do it unless the pipes were corroding.
I did mine but only because the pipes were like mush, and I had a spare resistor lying around.
Does make the bay look a tad neater too.
-
Does it thro up any codes or problems? For a 2 quid resistor I don't see the harm you got any pics of what you connect the resistor too?
-
You connect the resistor across the plug you remove from the unit. Mine still threw a fault code though but R-Tech mapped the fault out for me
It does let you remove a load of vacuum tube from your system which is one less source of leaks.
-
It won't do anything on an AGU but AUM/AUQ it may throw up a code even though the resistor is fitted
-
cool so you jsut conect it to both pins on the plug
-
You got it
-
gonna give it ago as the reisitor is only like 2 quid
-
I have used the same resistors for the:
N249 and N112 delete
SAI removal
Carbon canister delete
So if you plan on doing any of these order more
-
I just left the n249/112 plugged in with no vacuum line connected to them. My SAI connector is just left unplugged.
No engine management light as of yet :)
If it comes on I'll get the codes mapped out. I don't buy the whole resistor thing.

the resistors just make a 'loop' as far as I am aware causing no codes to be thrown
