got a brand new 007 recirc dump valve in the shed that was going to go on my mk4 but ill put it on the mk5 in the morn ! any issues or known problems? fitting easy??
-
Fairly sure it wont fit so pop yourself down to VW and get their latest revision. Its about £50 and is a straight swap.
-
Rev D is roughly £40 odd and Rev G is £34. Rev D is newer than G but there is a big discussion on which one is best
-
oh right not come across this before so are the rev D and G both recirculating? as the mk4 needed a recirc dump valve? or can i go for a atmospheric? and its a VW dealor part ?
infact would you send me a link so that i know what im looking for ??

You can get a Forge dv but its more expensive. The latest dv is more than adaquate for a standard and a mapped car
Stick with a recirculating; it does it for a reason

Both recirculating. Rev A, B, C and G have diaphragms and are prone to splitting. Rev D is a piston type and is ment to be more reliable. But now people are saying that Rev D are prone to failure aswell and G is the better one to get but with rev G being roughly £34 and Rev D being £43 (iirc) its best just to treat it like a serviceable part
