Hi guys, im a complete noob so please be easy!
Basically i want to fit some x5 wheels on my car. Im after a flush fit and dont want to slam it. What sizes/mm would i need in tyres and wheel adapters to get a snug fit? I have jom coilovers so their adjustable but how low can i go for everyday use? Ive had a quote for some custom wheel adapters made from billet aluminium including all bolts for £200 from america. A guy called fred goeske, apparentely hes excellent at his work. Also seen some fk and h&r ones. Are these the better choice? Any help is appreciated. Thank you

Have a search on ed38, hamidi had the 1st set in his mk4 looked the dogs!
Heavy wheels tho :undecided:

I think they are a bit played out now tbh.

Played out? Sorry not familiar with the term? Do you mean common or too wide? I did pm him on ukmkivs to find out whether id require diffrent sizes to his wheel adapters and tyres because of how low he was. I guess the sizes will have to be the exact same as his. But any idea on the coilovers height? Thanx for your replies!

Im not keen on X5s and as Wayne said I think they look way to big but each to there own ED38 theres plenty of mk4s on there running them

As said too common. Was at a local meet last night. At least 2/3 of the cars had them lol. Get something less common. Plus u need to go lowwwwwwwwww to pull them off

You know what, i think you guys are right..... Tbh i wasnt really too keen on spending £400 to get them looking right anyway lo. I did have lm reps/dr lms in mind but their common. You guys gotta save me and let me know what's in! Btw anyone interested in buying my x5 wheels lol i think not! But If anyone wanted them any way id let them go for £250 bradford/leeds

Buy my longbeaches. Don't see many cars with them :) bolt straight on ;)
In my opion one of the best 17s u can get for golfs and boras :D

not keen on 19s plus as said there as commen as the mk4 itself

Thank you guys, 19s are off the list now lol! I quite like the look of them longbeach alloys, they look similar to my standard gttdi wheels and look abit like vw manhattans. The long beachs look phat but i was lookin to get some 18s. I know 17s are the safest to use without a doubt. I want staggered wheels tbh, any unique ideas/wheels to look at. Ive put my borbet x5 wheels in classifieds now. Thanks again guys
