Title: Renewal increase for claim liability pending!! Help!!!
Post by: bigmarky on 22 May 2012, 11:04
Hi just wondering if anyone can help been insured through more than for about 6 years with no problems, in December had a minor collision with another driver only cosmetic damage to my car and scratches to his so well under 500 quid to resolve, my insurance company has been disputing liability ever since but my renewal was up not long ago and because of the pending claim, More than have kindly taken 4 years no claims off me along with adding a fault claim taking my premium from £48 a month to £106. They say thus could well drop once resolved but I think it's unfair I'm penalised so much until they stop arguin over who's to blame. Is this standard procedure across the board or would another insurance company take this into consederation due to having full no claims before?? Help!!!

Innocent until proven guilty....

Obviously not the case with insurance companies.

I work for a modified car specialist, unfortunately if you have a pending claim wether fault or non fault, it will be classed as a fault claim until fully settled and xs is recovered.
With ourselves when it is settled as non fault, we reimburse the difference !
