Title: Pipercross Venom Induction Kit (universal)
Post by: oceanic-green on 21 May 2012, 08:54
will the universal Pipercross Venom Induction kit fit on my mk4 1.8t aum easily, or will it need any modification to fit properly. And is it much different to the custom made one, besides price?

I got one off ebay and it fitted fine for me but ive got a custom 76mm turbo intake so I bought the pipercross venom with the 76mm inlet and outlet.  You could just get a silicone reducer so it will fit to your maf.

Good bit of kit I thought being able to have a good cold air feed straight from the bumper. Heres mine with my champagne bucket heat shield, lol and the 76mm ducting for the cold air feed.

My car is waiting to get mapped so dont know what the benifits are but I would guess they would be good because its only drawing in cold air and being protected from heat soak.

I have a Venom with the correct support bracket and filter to MAF pipe sat in the garage gathering dust, would sell for not much if interested?

Missed the noise of an open cone too much

Here's mine

Jetex 80mm filter, eBay heat shield, 80-70mm reducer.

Only cost about £90 all in and the Jetex filters are widely used on S3's and LCR's as they flow well.

That looks really nice! it would go well with my blue Tip and blue silicone pipes. Does it make a nice sound? I have also considered the RamAir, as they are reasonably priced, and look rather nice, but hopefully I will be getting a Venom.

Wayne i've just ordered an SAI blank do you want a breather filter to fit that hose? Cover postage and you can have mine. No idea if you need one but it looks better than it being open?
