Cracking pics

Rallying in the UK is never as interesting as that on the continent, as it's almost exclusively old Escorts, with some Imprezas mixed in and a few Super 1600s thrown in for good measure, whereas European events have a rather wider mix of metal. :undecided:

 I go to Sunseeker near me around Feb time, it's always a good laugh..
Great pics!

Looks like fun

scoobies and evo's can suck my balls! The reason it's all escorts is because it takes a man with skill to do a storming time, anyone can rag a 4wd computer driven peice of japanese disposable sh!te! I feel quite strongly on the subject, watch the video, see the difference? hear the difference, in the evo you just turn the wheel and plant your foot and the computer does all the work, no drama, no skill, NO SOUL! See the escort, so many adjustments and alot of skill not to mention sheer bollox! At the end of the day the escort finnished 1m 50s ahead of that evo! Love it!

that c2 was in the top 20 out of 120 cars, was deceptivly fast and the bloke was a nutter! as i said, i've got a proper video to edit and stick together so will get that done n post it

You've totally missed the point.
European rallies have Mantas, 911s and way more other interesting metal which is what makes a parade of Escorts a bit dull.
Nothing to do with computers, or 4WD.
Been to the Sunseeker. Same issues.

I've only been once to watch rallying at Sherwood Pines and it was exactly as described above. Still, worth a watch

Depends on where you go, i've seen all sorts of metal at some of the rallies at Sennybridge.. sometimes the old boys pop out with the 6R4's and 911's etc..
-
would be awesome to see some old european rally cars in the flesh. apparently there is an organisation called slowly sideways that still organise group B events
-
i have seen the slowly sideways boys at silverstone classic a few years back. it is great to see and hear the cars and the owners are happy to let you get up close and personal but it is a bit sad seeing them being demo'd rather than raced. a bit like seeing animals in a zoo
