Title: How do you get the poxy fuel pump out?
Post by: Bellend on 20 May 2012, 16:23
Unscrewed (well chisled through the seucring ring) on the top of the pump, that's out but cannot get the bottom of the pump out.

How do they come out?

I'm probably more worried about blowing my face off as health and safety doesn't really exist in there at the moment.

Twist and pull, its kinda like a bayonet fitting,  i don't think the MK3 has a spring, some you need to push and twist, im pretty sure you just turn it anti clockwise.

Mine was an absolute bugger to get out!

3 plastic lugs with rubber pieces locating in them, you need to get a finger in there and push back the rubber bits on all 3.
Then it lifts out.

Also watch the pipe connections as I busted one and had to buy a new pump!

Also I did a guide for this, so maybe if you had looked Josho!
