Title: Tyre stretching sizes ??
Post by: bigmarky on 20 May 2012, 10:29
Anyone got any idea what sort of tyre size difference you need to stretch them, fitting spacers next week and considering stretching as I need a couple of new tyres anyway. If mine are currently 225/40/18 what would the new ones be?? Ideas ??

All depends on the width of the wheel

What wheel you got?

215 gives a nice little stretch on an 8J wheel. 205 would be a pretty massive stretch I'd imagine.

Got 18" A8's on it, in satin black with anthracite inserts, maybe unusual choice for a stretch but thought would give it a go.

I have 215/40/18 on a 8.5j rim looks good, but I'm going for 205/40/18 soon :-)
