Title: LED DRL - Should they go off at night?
Post by: nc35 on 20 May 2012, 09:57
Hi All

Probably a stupid question, but should the LED DRLs go off at night?

Just wondering as DRL I think means DayLight Running Lights.

Thanks in anticipation

They're the side lights too, mine don't go off at night.

No, but I believe they dim slightly when you turn your lights on (mine do anyway)

They must! But don't worry - none of you has DRL (as mandatory on new types of vehicles from Feb 2011). Golf mk6 doesn't have approved DRL. Just some lights that pretend to be DRL.

So how does that work as I have a Seat Leon registered July 2011 and that doesn't have DRL's?

Because yours is still based in a model that is quite a few years old the next new mk of Leon will have them.

Correctomundo!

It's an existing type =  model. We've had that discussion before. A new type is VW Up!
