Title: Trip computer fault

Hi just wondering if anyone could help. When i first start the car the trip computer works fine nice and bright and very clear After driving for a little bit it starts to go dim and sometimes fades so u cant see it. When its working i can scroll through part of it lets me see the ones with the 2 in the corner eg. Running time, Average mpg etc but i cant get it go back to instant consumption etc also it wont reset.
Is this just a fault with the clocks/trip comp or a fault with the stalk any advice will be appreciated

Faulty clocks common fault the sun destroys the red part.

You can have it repaired but for the cost you are better off getting second hand clocks for around £30 and finding someone on here local to you  to code them in.

cheers guys i can get a set of clocks for 25 so mite just put them in see ow it goes. will it have 2 be coded then aswell

What a bag of garbage these trip screens are im having the exact same issue. :angry:
