Title: cleaning the intercooler

Is air intake & carburettor cleaner ok to use to clean the inter cooler? as I have got my OEM intercooler of and poured all the oil and muck out of it

whilst my front end was stripped i sprayed degreaser in and jetwashed it all out then left out to dry no problems

I used acetone on my old Forge but I don't recommend it on a standard one as you'll melt the seals lol

i accidently left a rear vw in a pot of acetone forgot bout it until next day  :lipsrsealed: no more rear badge  :laugh:

Best method is to buy intercooler flush and leave it to soak in there for a while.

on the passat i just filled mine up with gun wash and shook it then tiped it out,  lots of mank came out and no problems
