Title: Rear beam removal

Is there a guide? Simple job? Just unbolted or is it all brakes off and re bleed etc

Loads of people say you need to disconnect the brake lines which you dont quick step by step from what i can remember

Get the wheels off and put it on axle stands
Unclip the hard brake lines the just push out from the clips
Theres a little bracket where theres a join in the lines cut a slot in the bracket big enough to slide the smaller pipe out
Remove calipers and tie them to the shock or something but dont bend the lines
Put a jack under the beam to support it
Undo shock bolts
Undo rear beam bolts the go through bushes
Lower jack a bit and remove the beam


DEFFINITLY A 2 PERSON JOB !

Cool as long as I dont need to take brakes completely off then easy as . Cheers

i had to take mine off. but i supose doing what ad said would have worked.

bit of an arse of a job tbh.  enjoy

also theres a guide in the maintenence section iirc. if not theres one of ukmkivs and vw votex.

Its not too bad with 2 people just take ya time and dont disconect the brake lines and it will be alot easier !
