Title: Bleeding the cooling system
Post by: Wayne on 16 May 2012, 22:00
Any tips or guides on doing the above please.

Will need to do it on mine over the weekend as and when we have finished the matrix change.

As I recall:
Prepare the coolant mix.  Heater on full, fill up header bottle, fire her up and bring engine up to temp and keep filling header tank.  Wait for thermostat to open (rad hoses get warm) and hand pump radiator hoses to clear air bubbles.  Wait for radiator fans to come on and make sure header tank is still full.  Replace cap properly.  Take it for a good spin, important to keep heater on full blast and a supply of coolant/water to top up if necessary.
I think thats right
