hey guys i have a 1.4 and just really want to fill the arches a bit.was thinking 17"? i no it effects the speedo and that can you get them calibrated to the bigger wheels? cheers
-
Buy 16" and lower it....
-
out of interest what tyre size are best on 16s to keep speedo about the same.
iv gone from 13 to 15 speedo stayed the same.
-
just buy some 16,s and stick the lowest profile tyres you can on them.
-
Yh 16 on lows FTW
-
i have a aex and i cant lower it to much bec the exhaust runs under the sump :-(
-
205/45/16 if you want the speedo to stay correct and still drive properly.

Or 195/45's, if you want 17"s you will need 205/40's but they can be tight for clearance.
-
will 16" sit snug in the arches as i have 14" in there atm and they look lost

Yes but you will need to lower it as well.

ok cant realy lower to much bec of the exhaust thats why i was thinking bout 17s any idea what mm would it be on 16s just to bring it a bit closer to the tyre? not slammed bt so it ooks respectable
-
Go for a 40mm drop.
-
Whats the deal with the exhaust then?
-
mmmmm cool.40mm mite b a bit to much. bloody exhaust why does it have 2 b under my sump.lol

Yup, 40mm drop and 16'' wheels works very well.
-
the exhaust runs under the sump so it sits lower to the floor.
-
i would like to get g60 wheels banded or my gti steelies bended and slam it bt my exhaust wont alow that.
-
215/40 is max you can go on a 17" wheel without other mods
-
I'm sure my exhaust goes under the sump to and my car is Pretty damn low. (now with the Vr6 style splitter/chin looks even lower)
