Title: Anyone else had a phone call from?
Post by: Mr GTD on 16 May 2012, 12:44: Just going about my business this morning and out of the blue i get a phone call from Windows(well that's what they said) my mrs answered the phone and aparently they said that our computer is in serious danger!!! My other half didn't believe them and couldn't really understand them as they didn't speak very clear english so she pretty much immediately hung up.....all my anti virus protections ect ect are up to date..

So has anyone else had these phone calls?

Post by: Jay on 16 May 2012, 14:10: Defo stay away or wind them up and pretend to have got them connected, tell them you can see the mouse moving around the screen and that they are clicking on things etc... then ask why they are going into a your bank account.

My mrs grandad and "tech savy" uncle weren't...£6000 later they are still none the wiser :lipsrsealed:
