Just going about my business this morning and out of the blue i get a phone call from Windows(well that's what they said) my mrs answered the phone and aparently they said that our computer is in serious danger!!! My other half didn't believe them and couldn't really understand them as they didn't speak very clear english so she pretty much immediately hung up.....all my anti virus protections ect ect are up to date..
So has anyone else had these phone calls?

It's a scam. they take control of your computer and get all this info they need to clean you out.
Stay away!

the wifes grand parents had this a few weeks ago and a few others since as said beware its a scam mate
-
i had this a few days ago and said i dont have a pc and they hung up!

Defo stay away or wind them up and pretend to have got them connected, tell them you can see the mouse moving around the screen and that they are clicking on things etc... then ask why they are going into a your bank account.
-
Easy to fix. They just need your bank details...
-
"I just need to confirm your bank account details so I can transfer the monies"

windows is the name of their software.. if it was microsoft it would have been more believeable.. but slightly more so if it was the pope asking for religious advice
