Hi. Is changing the rear axle bushes on my mk2 gti on a driveway possible or is there anything that will prevent doing this job?
Also if anyone has any tips for this job that would be great thanks

You need as much space as possible, i.e. get the car as high as you can.
It needs to be well supported for wrenching at tight mounting bolts
Consider wheather or not you can deal with removing stubborn/rusted bolts
Brakes lines need diconnected so a brake bleed is needed
I duno if a press is required for fitting the new oem bushes (I used push in poly)
If you can deal with that- do it! Would be a good afternoons work it all goes well...

As above, could turn into a tough job if things are rusted up or seized, may be worth asking a few garages for a price and save yourself a whole load of hassle :smug:
Would not expect it to be cheap on the labour front thou...
