Title: Genuine VW stainless steel exhaust

I was just wondering if anyone on here knew anything about the following part number 1H6253609Q, which is a genuine VW stainless steel backbox for the mk3 16v. Were these a special dealer option as i never realised you could get OEM stainless steel exhaust parts? Bet they cost a bloody fortune...

I think that VW always used to offer mild and stainless options on exhausts.

i got one last year off dom before he converted lol,when i did go to vw to ask iirc they said something in the region of £250 for a brand spanker

I was just about to say that I had & sold one before I had the Magnex :grin:

Swapped my supersprint for an OEM stainless- the dealer had it in stock for ages and were surprised when they suddenly had the opportunity to get shot of it. It was about £200 iirc
