Title: Braking issues!
Post by: gavharris on 14 May 2012, 13:39
Hey guys I'm after a bit of help
I've been having an intermittent problem when braking, doesn't happen very often but when it does it's a nightmare. When I start to brake the whole car starts to shudder and shake making a right racket! It's just been through the mot and all discs and pads have been changed so I don't think anything is warped but could do with a few ideas of what it might be.

Any ideas I no its an awful explanation but it's the best I can do sorry

Hard to say?
What does the pedal feel like when juddering? soft then hard?
Did it do this before the disc and pad change?
It could be pockets of air traped in the system?
Sometimes the Master cylinder seals can wear out and cause uneven pressure kind of acting like ABS presure no pressure.
I think I would bleed the whole system out again, check all union bolts for leaks, then check bolts are tight on the carrier.
Check all hose lines for flexing.
If all is good it can only be the MC?
If it was servo you would feel lack of pedal feel even if the servo vac boost pipe had come off the head.

Check the rear shockers, mine were fooked and under heavy braking the whole car juddered?
